Admission Requirements And Application

Thank you for your interest in applying to St. Thomas Aquinas High School!

All current 8th grade students who wish to apply to St. Thomas Aquinas High School for the 2024-2025 school year must complete our online application and take the Diocese of Metuchen High School Placement Test. Please have a copy of your 6th and 7th grade report card or school transcript ready when you apply. You will need to scan or take a picture of these record(s) and attach them to the application below. If your child has an Individual Educational / Service Plan (IEP / ISP) or a 504 plan, a complete copy of this plan, including all psychological test results and accommodations, should be attached to the online application or emailed to Mrs. Veni at [email protected]. Please send this in at least one week prior to the testing date.

The High School Placement Test evaluates a student's basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Please review the test administration information below:

  • The next HSPT Makeup Date is Wednesday, July 10, 2024
  • Students must report to St. Thomas Aquinas High School by 9:00 a.m.
  • The test will begin approximately at 8:45 a.m. and end at approximately 12:00 p.m.
  • Students should bring with them two non-mechanical sharpened #2 pencils.
  • They should also bring their testing fee that day: $75 cash or check made payable to St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
  • Test results will be shared with Immaculata High School.
