The STA Athletics Department is proud to announce that Tarig Holman has accepted the position of head football coach. This hire comes during a difficult time for the STA community after the sudden passing of Coach Brian Meeney in March.
Holman has 23 years of coaching experience, including 10 as head football at JFK Memorial High School. He has coached 22 D1 student-athletes, including 4 NFL players. Prior to coaching, he was a three-year starter at the University of Iowa under legendary Coach Hayden Fry where he holds the single game interception record. After graduating, he would go on to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
