St. Thomas Aquinas High School Athletics is proud to announce Landon Kearns and Mary Kate Murray as this year's Greater Middlesex Conference Scholar Athletes.
Throughout Mary Kate's high school career, she has undertaken both honors level and college preparatory classes and will be graduating with above a 4.1 grade point average. Her greatest accomplishment at STA was being a proud member of the softball team, and breaking school records for single season home runs and RBIs, as well as records for career home runs and RBIs. For her oustanding softball and academic performance, she has received a $25,000 scholarship to play softball.
Throughout Landon's high school career, he has also undertaken both honors level and college preparatory classes. While playing sports year-round, he has still managed to maintain above a 4.0 grade point average. During his senior year, he was named All-Conference and All-Division in wrestling and was a captain of the team. He is most proud of the 115 career wrestling victories that he achieved during his time at STA. He will be attending the United States Coast Guard Academy majoring in Management.
