Director's Select Chorus

The St. Thomas Aquinas High School Director's Select Chorus is an a cappella group comprised of an elite few members of the Concert Choir. Membership in the group is usually held to the low 20s - just enough to put a few singers on each of the multiple parts.

The primary way to become a member of the Director's Select Chorus is direct appointment by the Music Director.  However, the opportunity to audition is made available to all students at the beginning of the school year.

The Director's Select Chorus sings at several school functions over the course of the school year.  In addition, the group performs at a 2-night Christmas Concert in December, and a 2-night Spring Concert in May.  The students will also sing the Stations of the Cross prayer service held in school during Holy Week.

This group traditionally practices on Mondays between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and/or Wednesdays between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.  There are also virtual rehearsal options for students who cannot attend every rehearsal.
