Clubs and Organizations

The African American Heritage Club is a promotion of diversity within our school. Our goal is to explore and celebrate the African American heritage as well as appreciating other cultures while being aware of significant benefaction to the world. It is a safe place to share different experiences while addressing social issues concerning our culture. All students are welcomed and invited to join.

The Aquinas Communication Society offers students an immersive, hands-on experience in the field of communications while empowering them to authentically represent student life at STA. Through creative media, writing, and marketing initiatives, the club fosters real-world skill development and expands the student voice across various medias and STA’s platforms.

The Art Club's goal is to foster creativity within the STA community, providing an opportunity for students to explore various media in a creative setting. Art Club also looks to promote STA outside of the school through submitting artwork for local and national competitions.

The Autism Awareness Club's purpose is to promote the inclusion of special education and general education students coming together through sports and social interactions.

The Biology Club's purpose is to study and discuss natural sciences and life, including animal and plant behavior, origins, structures, and evolutions.

The Business Club aims to provide students with a better understanding of business and economics principles by learning about various companies and their CEO's. This includes learning about the principles that they employ, such as incentives and corporate environment.

The Chess Club teaches students of any skill level the rules and strategy and provides a place for students to network.

The d20 Club plays a variety of tabletop role-playing games where members create characters that interact with each other on a weekly basis. Through problem solving and creative writing, the d20 Club creates a shared, ongoing story for its members.

The Dance Club is all about dancing for those who cannot. Club members join together to share their love of dance and helping others. Through events and fundraisers, the club raises money for others and has fun while doing it.

The Debate Club strives to help students improve critical thinking, public speaking, and confidence with the ultimate goal of entering debate competitions.

The Filipino-American Student Association strives to bring about celebrating the culture of Filipino students. The association embraces Filipino traditions and informs others about the culture.

Film Club gives students the ability to make short films or any kind of videos that will be promoted on the school's YouTube page.

The French Club teaches students about French culture, food, and language. It is an opportunity for students both in French class and not to learn more about the culture and language.

The Future Medical Professionals Club provides students with the knowledge, skills, and leadership opportunities in the medical field while working with a global student-led organization called HOSA, which offers competitions, scholarships, and awards.

The International Club's motto is "Unity in Diversity". Members develop deeper respect and appreciation among each other by exploring the commonalities among diverse cultures through music, art, games, cultural traditions and food. In a venue of fun and educational exploration, students gain pride in showcasing their own ethnicities and forge lasting friendships in the process.

The K-Pop Club aims to create a vibrant community for K-Pop fans and strives to celebrate the global phenomenon, promote cultural understanding, and provide a space for fans to connect and share interests.

The Mural Club seeks to impact the school by creating interesting, creative, and artistic murals around the building.

The P.in.K Club is a young women's' group that provides a forum for the young women of STA to raise awareness and discuss important issues.

The Robotics Competition Club is a challenge in which students design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in regional competitions. Guided by teachers, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and collaboration.

SMAC is a club dedicated to helping former and current cancer patients through fundraisers and drives.

The South Asian Student Association's goal is to spread knowledge and appreciation of South Asian culture. Through this club, students promote South Asian-run small businesses and express the culture through a series of activities, events, and fundraisers.

The STEM Club provides a space for students who are interested in the STEM Fields to come together to brainstorm, design, and create different projects in our school’s Makerspace, while also learning the skillsets needed to make them. The STEM Club also brings in professional engineers and others from the STEM Fields to give talks to students to help foster and nurture their interest and to prepare them for STEM studies in college.

(STA) officially launched the largest high school chapter of UNICO National during a charter ceremony held on May 29. The event marked a significant milestone for both STA and UNICO, the nation’s largest Italian American service organization dedicated to promoting Italian heritage, community service, and educational advancement. The STA UNICO chapter will offer students ongoing opportunities to engage in leadership, cultural enrichment, and service while honoring the contributions of Italian Americans within their families and across the wider community. As members, students are now part of a national network dedicated to culture, service, and civic engagement.
