Trojan Talks Launches With Inspiring Visit From BGA/STA Alumnus Mr. Ed Kalegi ’85

St. Thomas Aquinas High School proudly launched its new Trojan Talks series with a visit from BGA/STA alumnus Mr. Ed Kalegi ’85, a voice actor, radio personality, host, author, and actor whose career reflects the power of creativity, resilience, and passion.

Trojan Talks is a new initiative designed to support the career-driven pathways coming to STA this fall. At STA, we believe that high school should be more than core courses. It should also be a place where students discover their interests, develop their talents, and gain exposure to real-world experiences that guide them not only to college but also far beyond.

Mr. Kalegi is the host of the nationally syndicated radio show and podcast Chatterbinge and the author of It Was Great to Say Hello To… During his visit, he met with students involved in video production, creative filmmaking, communications, and yearbook to share insights from his journey in the performing arts and entertainment industries.

He spoke about his time as a performing arts student at BGA/STA and how those early experiences shaped his career path. Mr. Kalegi encouraged students to use their creative strengths to build opportunities and to always keep moving toward the next goal. His stories, practical advice, and enthusiasm for the industry offered students a meaningful look at how passion and persistence can open doors.
