STA Launches First-Ever Dance Team, Names Sara Reynolds Head Coach

St. Thomas Aquinas High School is proud to announce the launch of its first-ever Dance Team for the 2026-2027 school year and the appointment of Sara Reynolds as the program's inaugural Head Coach.

Coach Reynolds brings an exceptional blend of professional performance experience, award-winning choreography, and dance education to the Trojan community.

A professional dancer who studied with The Joffrey Ballet and Ballet Tech in New York City, Reynolds has performed on some of the industry's biggest stages. Her impressive credits include being a featured dancer in Michael Jackson's 30th Anniversary Special and touring with 3LW. She has also danced for Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, Brian McKnight, Missy Elliott, and numerous other recording artists.

Her television and media credits include appearances on Saturday Night Live, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, and music videos for Whitney Houston, Enrique Iglesias, Musiq, and many others. Reynolds has also appeared in national print and commercial campaigns, including work for Burger King and Adidas.

As a former New York Knicks City Dancer and WNBA Liberty Dancer, her talents have taken her around the world, including performances at the Olympic Games in Barcelona, the NFC Championship Game at Giants Stadium, and the MTV Music Awards at Lincoln Center.

An accomplished choreographer, Reynolds has staged performances for developing recording artists, high school musicals, and major corporate events. Her award-winning choreography has been recognized by many of the nation's leading dance competitions. She has also performed with the Cultural Explosion Latin Dance Company.

With more than 30 years of teaching experience in dance and gymnastics, Reynolds serves as co-owner and Artistic Director of Across the Floor Dance Studio in Woodbridge, New Jersey. In that role, she oversees curriculum development, faculty leadership, and the studio's competitive dance program.

In addition to her extensive career in dance and performing arts, Reynolds holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University.

"We are excited to launch this new program and welcome Coach Reynolds to the Trojan family," said Athletic Director Matthew Silvestri. "Her experience, passion, and commitment to developing young people make her the ideal person to build our Dance Team from the ground up."
