EDISON, N.J. - St. Thomas Aquinas High School (STA) is proud to announce a new community collaboration with the New York Cosmos, uniting two organizations committed to excellence, opportunity, and the growth of the game.

Known for our competitive spirit and strong athletic tradition, St. Thomas Aquinas continues to shape student-athletes through teamwork, discipline, leadership, and a commitment to excellence—on the pitch, in the classroom, and throughout the community.

Through this community collaboration, STA and the Cosmos will work together to expand access to the professional game, create meaningful pathways for boys and girls across North Jersey, and offer Aquinas student-athletes immersive opportunities at historic Hinchliffe Stadium. This effort strengthens community ties, builds new experiences for families, and inspires the next generation of players to dream bigger.

“This collaboration with the New York Cosmos is an exciting moment for our soccer program. It gives our players the chance to connect with the professional game in a real and meaningful way,” said Jason Chung, Head Coach of the STA Boys Soccer program. “The Cosmos have a strong history in New Jersey soccer, and exposing our boys to that level of tradition and commitment will fuel their development and inspire their future. It opens doors, expands their understanding of the game, and shows them what is possible.”

“At St. Thomas Aquinas everything begins with the growth of our students. This collaboration provides new experiences for our student athletes and enriches the wider student body by connecting them to a larger community, “ added Kevin Sacco, STA President. “We are proud to support opportunities that help our young people grow as leaders, learners, and competitors. The Cosmos share that dedication to young people, and I am excited for what this collaboration will create for our students and families.”

St. Thomas Aquinas High School is proud to join the Cosmos in honoring the game, deepening roots in our region, and creating opportunities that elevate the student-athlete experience.

About The New York Cosmos

The New York Cosmos are relaunching in Northern New Jersey, bringing the world’s game back to one of the nation’s most historic soccer regions. With a vision to develop best-in-class teams, expand opportunities for youth across North Jersey, and deliver an exciting, accessible fan experience, the Cosmos are committed to honoring the sport’s heritage while building pathways for the next generation.
