Celebrating National Signing Day: Six Trojans Commit to Competing at the Collegiate Level

St. Thomas Aquinas High School proudly celebrated the first of three National Signing Days for the Class of 2026, honoring six outstanding student-athletes as they announced their commitments to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. Surrounded by family, teammates, coaches, and members of the One Trojan Family, these students marked an important milestone in their journeys as both scholars and athletes.

• Isabella Malinconico, Softball – University of Scranton

• Hailey Krainski, Softball – Salve Regina University

• Jordan Barnes, Girls Basketball – Rider University

• Trista Whitney, Girls Basketball – University of Maryland Eastern Shore

• Louis Rizzolo, Baseball – Marist University

• Samantha Villacis, Girls Swimming – Florida State University

National Signing Day reflects years of hard work, discipline, and commitment. These student-athletes have balanced demanding schedules, pushed themselves to excel, and embraced the values of Spirit, Truth, and Achievement that define the STA experience. Their accomplishments speak not only to their personal drive but also to the strength of the school’s athletic programs and the unwavering support of their coaches, families, and peers.

“This day is a celebration of years of dedication, discipline, and commitment,” said Matthew Silvestri, Athletic Director at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. “These young men and women have represented the Trojan spirit with integrity and heart. We are incredibly proud to see them take the next step in their athletic journeys, knowing they will continue to excel and lead by example.”
