STA Announces Nunes as Head Girls Soccer Coach

St. Thomas Aquinas High School is excited to welcome Frankie Nunes as the new Head Coach of the Girls Varsity Soccer Team. Coach Nunes currently works with Competitive Soccer Academy and brings years of coaching experience, having worked with top youth programs including FC Copa, SFL, Maestro Soccer, Steel Soccer, and CFS/STS.

“I am dedicated to helping student-athletes grow in skill, confidence, and teamwork while representing the values of St. Thomas Aquinas High School both on and off the field,” stated Nunes. 

As a player, Nunes competed for club teams Union Lancers and Ironbound Strikers, gaining international experience in Canada and Portugal. He was a four-year varsity player at Roselle Catholic High School and earned All-Conference, All-County, and All-State Honorable Mention honors. After high school, he received college offers from Rider and Ramapo and was also recruited by professional clubs in Peru, Ecuador, and Portugal. He chose to remain in the U.S., playing semi-professionally with MetroStars “B,” SCP, and EcusStars. Coach Nunes holds a USSF D License.
