Students Recognized for Outstanding Dedication to Service

After celebrating the gift of Catholic education at our Catholic Schools Week Mass, we recognized students who truly live out the values of faith, service, and leadership that are at the core of what we do at STA.

Three students from each grade were honored for going above and beyond in their commitment to serving others—a powerful reminder that at St. Thomas Aquinas, we don’t just teach service, we live it.

Seniors:
William Owens: 1139.5 hours over four years

Additionally, six students were honored for earning the St. Timothy Service Award from the Diocese of Metuchen. Brandon Gafanhao, Lucia Merendino, and Brianna Romero received the award in recognition of the service performed through STA. Crisgeily Hernandez-Corcino, Emily Herrera, and Diane Yeo received the award in recognition of the service performed through their parishes.

These students exemplify what it means to “Better to illuminate than merely to shine,” reflecting the spirit of Serving with Wisdom. Congratulations to them for embodying what it means to lead with wisdom and make a difference in the world.
