The Aquinas Gymnastics Team has once again proven its excellence, clinching the GMC Championship with a state-high score of 111.80. This achievement marks a repeat victory for the team and Coach Brant Lutska's 18th GMC Championship, contributing to STA's impressive tally of 23 GMC championships overall.
The team's consistent track record of excellence is a testament to the athletes' and coaches' focus on both building skills and fostering a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
Outstanding performances by the team members resulted in 19 out of 25 possible individual medals, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication. Notable achievements include Supriya Moore with the All Around Championship title, joined on the podium by Olivia Donato, Sofia Bertocci, and Shelby Reno who finished with the 3rd, 4th and 5th place medals, respectively.
Receiving medals and placing on individual events were:
Supriya Moore: 1st on vault, 2nd on bars, 2nd on beam, and 1st on floor
Shelby Reno: 2nd on vault, 3rd on bars, and 3rd on beam
Olivia Donato: 3rd on vault, 4th on bars, 4th on beam, and 5th on floor
Sofia Bertocci: 4th on vault, 5th on bars, 7th on beam, and 3rd on floor
Vanessa Barreros: 7th on vault and 5th on beam
Sanjana Parikh: 8th on bars
Kimberly Chin: 7th on FLOOR
