Commons Mural a Reminder of STA Mission
Posted on 07/17/2023
We're putting the finishing touches on the reimagined "Commons", as our talented art teacher Ms. Sarah Hamill has been working throughout the summer on a mural that honors the patron saint of students and school's namesake, St. Thomas Aquinas.

St. Thomas Aquinas stands as an exemplary role model for students today, as well a guiding light for the teachers and leaders of STA. His life and intellectual pursuits are a testament to the pursuit of knowledge, critical thinking, and faith. As students navigate the vast realm of academia, they can draw inspiration from Aquinas's commitment to rigorous scholarship, intellectual honesty, and open-mindedness. His humility and respect for others exemplify the virtues of compassion, tolerance, and empathy—qualities essential in fostering a supportive and inclusive learning community.

We hope that this mural will prove to be a lasting reminder to all of what St. Thomas Aquinas High School strives to be.
