In the almost seven games in which Harris participated, St. Thomas Aquinas was 5-1 and leading by 13 points when he sustained a season-ending knee injury Feb. 16 against Trenton Catholic. Without his jump shot, gritty defense or overall team leadership, Harris’ Trojans lost that game, 63-58, as well as three of the final seven to close at 9-5. Harris, a three-star talent with at least nine Division 1 offers on the table, averaged 17.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.1 steals this winter, and has scored 511 points in just 33 games over the last two seasons for St. Thomas. His versatile play as a sophomore helped the club produce a 23-5 record and win the 2020 Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament.
