Senior Julian Buitrago, Class of 2024, is the latest STA student to earn the coveted rank of Eagle Scout, having completed a service project for Union County Parks and Recreation that involved installing 18 fishing line recycling bins in 10 county parks. Fishing line takes approximately 600 years to biodegrade and discarded lines present a significant health to wildlife.
