Junior Class Shines Bright at Ring Ceremony
Posted on 03/02/2023
Since their first days at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in the unfamiliar days of fall 2020, the members of the Class of 2024 have forged a path through uncertainty and made their mark on STA, letting their light shine brightly through growth, pride, tradition, and unity.

As a celebration of the light that the Class of 2024 has brought to STA, the junior class joined together for the annual tradition of the Junior Ring Ceremony. Select members of the junior class began the liturgy by reminding those gathered of all the memories and achievements that the Class of 2024 has already made. And though much has been accomplished up to this point, there are still many memories and achievements to be made in the next year-and-a-half, as the juniors become seniors and take on the privileges and responsibilities of being seniors.

With the support of one another as a class, the members of the Class of 2024 were able to get through difficult times and emerge with a stronger bond than before. Celebrated by Father Michael Tabernero with music was provided by Mr. Joseph Cullinan ’02 and members of the Liturgical Choir, the liturgy and ceremony emphasized the bond between each of them and how special their gifts truly are, along with honoring the things that they have accomplished because of those gifts.

Following the liturgy, the class officers read the history of the St. Thomas Aquinas Class Ring, followed by blessing the rings by Fr. Mike. Each junior was called by name to come forward to receive his or her ring.

The Junior Ring Ceremony once again proved to be a true celebration of unity, memories, and what is to come.
