St. Thomas Aquinas High School Athletics is proud to announce Kenny Coghan and Katherine Gleason as this year's Greater Middlesex Conference Scholar Athletes.

Throughout Kenny’s high school career, he has undertaken both honors level and college preparatory classes. After fulfilling the graduation requirements, Kenny has also taken extra classes in order to prepare himself for college. While playing sports year-round Kenny has still managed to maintain above a 3.8 grade point average. During his senior year, Kenny was named All-Conference and All-Division in football and wrestling and was a captain for both teams. Some of the colleges that he was accepted into include Monmouth University, Long Island University, and Rider University. Kenny will be attending Wagner College next year playing Division 1 football with an undeclared major.

During her time at Saint Thomas Aquinas, Katie Gleason was a standout player and captain of the varsity soccer team, earning several awards including Athlete of the Season, Athlete of the Month, and All Division. Academically, Katie was a part of three Honor Societies and was a Distinguished Honor Roll student. Over the past four years, she has accumulated over five hundred community service hours through CSAC, as well as other organizations like Operation Gratitude and the Franklin Food Bank. Katie is the recipient of the 3-Year National ROTC Scholarship and will be participating in ROTC in college. She looks forward to attending American University in the fall as an International Studies major specializing in Foreign Policy and National Security.

Congratulations and good luck to both Kenny and Katie!
