A CHAMPIONSHIP TRADITION

At St. Thomas Aquinas, cheerleading is more than school spirit—it is a championship athletic program built on teamwork, precision, strength and commitment.

With eight conference titles, eight state championships and four national championships, STA Cheerleading has established a tradition of excellence at the conference, state and national levels.

In 2025, the Trojans added another title to that legacy, capturing the Non-Public Group State Championship and continuing a tradition built by generations of STA cheerleaders.

STA Cheerleading holds a unique place within Aquinas Athletics. Our cheerleaders are competitors and ambassadors for our school, bringing energy and tradition to games, rallies and special events throughout the year.

Whether competing for championships or cheering from the sidelines, the team helps create the sense of pride and community that defines the One Trojan Family.

The commitment required to compete at a championship level develops qualities that extend far beyond the mat. Our cheerleaders learn discipline, resilience, leadership, accountability and the importance of working toward something greater than themselves.

At STA, they are surrounded by coaches, teachers and a school community committed to their growth as both students and athletes. With opportunities to challenge themselves academically, become leaders and pursue their goals, our cheerleaders are preparing for success in college and beyond.
