STA’s Nursing Pathway, offered through a unique partnership with Saint Elizabeth University (SEU), provides students who are interested in nursing with the opportunity to begin preparing for their future profession while still in high school. More than simply exploring nursing as a potential career, this pathway allows students to begin completing actual college-level coursework and prerequisite requirements that can move them forward on the path toward earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Through intentional four-year course planning at STA and dual enrollment with SEU, students can complete the prerequisite coursework required for SEU’s pre-licensure BSN program before graduating from high school. Students participating in the pathway are considered dually enrolled SEU students, allowing them to earn college credits and begin building a college transcript alongside their STA diploma.

By completing these requirements during high school, eligible students who continue at SEU can bypass the traditional pre-nursing year and move directly into the nursing sequence, creating the potential to earn their BSN in just three years after graduating from STA. The pathway gives students a meaningful head start on a highly competitive field while potentially reducing both the time and cost associated with earning their nursing degree.
