STA’s Education & Behavioral Sciences Pathway is designed for students interested in understanding how people learn, think, develop and interact with the world around them. Through specialized coursework and real-world learning experiences, students can explore fields such as education, psychology, child development, counseling and other behavioral sciences while still in high school.

Students will examine topics related to human development, learning, behavior and the social and emotional factors that influence individuals and communities. The pathway will also provide opportunities for hands-on experiences, career exploration, internship opportunities and resume building, allowing students to connect what they learn in the classroom with potential college majors and professions.

Whether students envision themselves as future teachers, psychologists, counselors, social workers or professionals in related fields, the Education & Behavioral Sciences Pathway gives them the opportunity to explore their interests before choosing a college major or career direction and begin building a strong foundation for what comes next.
