Parent Required Service Hours

As outlined in your Financial Aid Agreement, all required service hours must be completed by May 15 to maintain financial aid eligibility. Please note the following important requirements:

• A $25 donation will equal one service hour. A tier system will be implemented, showing equity in hours volunteering and donations received.
• Please upload receipts to MobileServe for all purchases that count toward your service hours.

Every volunteer working with our students/athletes MUST complete a volunteer application, complete the requirements for a background check and attend a "Protecting God’s Children" class PRIOR to working with the students/athletes. These opportunities include, but are not limited to supervision in the cafeteria after school, working in the bookstore during lunches, and coaching.

• If you have completed this and we have your certificate, thank you and you are not required to do this a second time.
• If you have completed this through another school or parish and you have not given us a copy of your certificate, please forward this to Diane Fucci at dfucci@stahs.net ASAP so you can start volunteering. As soon as we receive your certificate, you will be able to start working with the students.
• If you have not completed this, please sign up for a session that meets PRIOR to your working with the students. STA is holding sessions in August and September. You can go to any location. Please make sure to note that you are going to be volunteering at St Thomas Aquinas. Please follow these directions: Virtus (Protecting God's Children) Registration Information.

Parents/Guardians will be required to manage their service hours via our partner, MobileServe.  Hours must be received within 7 days of completing the service activity.

Any service hours not completed will require payment for the remaining balance. If this amount is unpaid, financial assistance will not be available for the following year. For families with seniors, official transcripts will be released once the balance is paid in full.

Our administrative team will update the service hours monthly, and you will receive an email with your outstanding balance of hours. If you have questions or concerns call (732) 549 - 1108 ext 117.
